This is the game changer that Royal Caribbean promised us, welcome to the Quantum of the Seas!
Quantum of the Seas is the first ship to come under the Royal Caribbeans Quantum class of ships and they set a new benchmark for others to follow yet again. With all these "firsts" on the Quantum class ships it really is breathtaking and there is really only one word to describe them which is WOW. Complete with the newly designed staterooms, brand new technology, stunning venues and quite simply the finest food options you can see why. Royal Caribbean actually sought design and advice from celebrity experts for their gym facilities and entertainment onboard. The Quantum of the Seas has a gross tonnage of 167,800 and a cruising speed of 22 knots.
Quantum of the Seas Cuisine
A new concept from Royal Caribbean is Dynamic dining (not available on all sailings) which gives their ships more distinct options to shape your own cruise whilst at the same time giving you total flexibility. There is no set dining time, no predetermined seating and there is no longer a need for formal nights either. For those of you that like the traditional main dining style, don't panic as you can go for Dynamic Dining Classic and this is available on a first come, first serve basis. Or off course the usual buffet style restaurants like the Windjammer, you will also find the usual onboard speciality restaurants as well as Celebrity Chef Jamie Olivers restaurant Jamie's Italian here you can enjoy rustic, Italian dishes that are made from seasonal ingredients along with tried and tested recipes.
Quantum of the Seas Staterooms
The staterooms onboard the Quantum class ships are the most spacious in the Royal Caribbean fleet. Starting with the family staterooms that can be uniquely connected through a vestibule to form a layout that provides separate bedrooms and bathrooms. All the staterooms have aesthetics that seem to soothe and have sea inspired colour. There are also the brand new virtual balconies, interior staterooms with virtual screens to give you feel of an ocean view or balcony where you can enjoy the sunset and sunrise from the comfort of your interior stateroom.
